Scrapbook of Samuel and Elizabeth Logan and family
Samuel Logan grew up in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England. He established a boat building business and he and Elizabeth had six children including my great grandfather, John Maxwell Logan.
I imagine this furniture sale was when William was moving from the Whilton Rectory to his new church at nearby Norton Rectory.

The combined photos in the heading are believed to be Samuel and Elizabeth Logan nee Charles. This was the second marriage for Samuel having married Hester Rutt who had been widowed with young children under tragic circumstances.

Samuel and Elizabeth Logan nee Charles.
Samuel was born to Elizabeth Logan either in Scotland or Cambridge around 1800. They settled in Cambridge where Samuel established a boat building business to cater for the universities at a time when racing on the River Cam was becoming a serious sport as well as other water craft for the casual hire. Samuel married Elizabeth Charles and they were my great great grandparents. They had six children, the second child being John Maxwell Logan born in 1853. He inherited the business and is my direct ancestor and great grandfather.
